I want to thank you for the tip on this curriculum from your previous video. I purchased vol 2 as a supplement and it’s been a huge hit with my 5th grader. I was shocked she liked it so much. I did one lesson with her and she grabbed it from me and began to work through the lessons on her own. She is a good reader and the conversational style lessons worked so well for her. Simple and great so far 👍🏻. Thank you thank you 🙏🏼💗

My son has responded so well to Learn Math Fast. He just finished Algebra 1 and will be using their High School Geometry next year.

Thanks for this video. My 7th grader was struggling with Teaching Textbooks. We switched her to Learn Math Fast and did volume 1 and 2. It was great this year. Now for 8th, we are going to be switching to Denison.

I've been using this with a 4th grader. I bought the first 4 volumes. We will use the second and possibly 3rd volume as a supplement next year to saxon math. It has helped improve basic skills tremendously.

Terrible experience with this math!! Our child had been doing Abeka math for 5 years (and Singapore math 4 years prior to Abeka), when we decided to try Learn Math Fast - Algebra 1. Just awful!! There were multiple mistakes (typos, discrepancies in the question and answer, and several teaching points that were written/communicated in a confusing manner. I remember having the thought, “this author is not well versed in Algebra.” That sounds terrible to say, but high school is not the time for questionable math curriculum.

I had heard great things from YouTubers about Learn Math Fast, and it was cheap compared to Abeka! Now I know why….you get what you pay for.
Sounds like the lower levels of this math program are well-loved, but high schoolers beware…

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been so curious about using this for some of my children. I’ll definitely look into it more.

Do you still do a morning basket time with your kiddos now that they are older? Would love to see a video of that if you do.

We have found that starting this system in middle school works well. I agree on the not sure how it would for younger kids, the books progress quickly and you would definitely be at a halt by book 3 with younger kids. Overall though, we have had success with these books and I really appreciate her teaching style.

First year homeschooling my 8th grade son. Health and falling behind were a couple reasons I decided to keep him home. I realized he had gaps in math and we’ve spent the last few months finding out what they were. Trying to find a curriculum that will be a good fit for him is difficult. His brother, 7th grade, is working independently in Saxon Math. I quickly figured out Saxon and any curriculum that is very text heavy will be a hindrance for him. A friend mentioned this curriculum and I’m so thankful for her suggestion and for your video!! Despite the comic sans (I know my son will mock that! 😂), I think this book may be what he needs to get back up to speed and boost confidence.

Have you considered math-u-see? Its very similar but a slower progression but also easy to speed up and move on if they are ready. Could work well for your first grader. If your older kids reach a point where learn math fast is moving too fast at some point.

How have you used this regarding measurements? What did you use to supplement in this area or does the program also teach metric system? Celsius?

Thank you so much for sharing this flip through! I've been contemplating this program ever since you first shared about it. I was wondering specifically about if my two would feel "stuck" at a certain point. We've had that happen with Life of Fred- getting to a point where they're not ready to move on, but they've mastered the previous concepts, so what to do in the meantime?

I am seriously debating doing this with my daughter who hates math. We are struggling so hard through Saxon 8/7 and she's going into 9th grade. Is your 8th grader just doing 1 lesson/day?

Mastery seems like the norm to me although government schools failed me big time with math.
Nice review.

All your cons are the reason why I did not like it either
