jacob, i'm floored. i'm speechless. the complexity of your harmony is deep. your use of dissonance and resolution is balanced and mature, and your creativity in the world of dynamics and using the voice as an instrument is stunning. i'm shocked. please keep making music. your genius will not go unnoticed. thank you for making art for the world.

Am I the only one that appreciates the killer low notes he can hit?

I must watched this at least 516, 654 times now and it is never less than utterly thrilling.  The arpeggio at 1:55 is madness.  Wonderful, never fails to make me smile...

I love how at 1:03 the first chorus ends with a big dissonant chord and when the melodica comes in it resolve yet almost immediately after goes back to the dissonance. It's like the most musical "he had us at the first part" moment.

I'm really not one for a capella vids. Not because I think they're bad, they just don't interest me much, but it's been like, oh, I don't know, maybe two years since I've seen this and it still hasn't left my mind. The amount of knowledge of music theory and technical skill still blows me away. By far the past a capella cover I've ever seen on YouTube.

I just melt when I hear those chords... I wish I was younger, so I could have more years to see what music you create in your lifetime. Thank-you for sharing your gifts with the world.

There is something oddly calming about this. Such harmony. Such wow.

If I were a talent scout for Sony or any major label I would get him right away. Man, he will rule some day. He's not one of those 'genious kids' who mastered their instruments, but a full blown musician, much too advanced for his age. The depth of this arrangement would have blown me away regardless of his age. This is the kind of music I'm looking for as a listener. Harmonically complex and rich, yet accessible. I'm buying his record as soon as he records any.

Please, can we get the word out about this kid? He is a GENIUS - and every day that we glorify singers that don't deserve it (watching their careers go into the shitter as a result), we rob TRUE talent of opportunity. And Jacob deserves all the musical attention from the most sophisticated ears around. He needs to be given everything he requires to make sure that he continues to produce ART. For himself and his own pleasure, but also to enhance and progress the community of musicians everywhere.

Mr Collier exemplifies that which, in my humble opinion is the greatest marvel of human existence. Artistic inspiration codified into exemplary art... I've never heard anything like this...Bravissimo...
