Does drifting a fake car on a screen, translate into real life?
Or is it just a massive waste of time?
Today we will answer this question.

I rarely say this, but this is one of the videos that I suggest you watch until the very end

(you will not regret it)

Imagine minding your own business and you see two guys with masks on drifting. In a car falling apart.

The hardest part about real life vs gaming is actually feeling the weight transfer in the car. It often causes you to over react because you FEEL a "big" movement although in reality it isn't that big

18:49 was the most perfect match-cut i have ever seen in my entire life. Like.. this was not only next level accuracy, it was magical

BeamNG basically gives every car a hydraulic e brake, which in real life would require another brake caliper to be installed in the rear.

This is actually motivating! To have video games teach you something that translates into IRL, of course nothing new, but still amazing that it is still the case.
Awesome video Mighty!

I'm completely new to this guy and an outsider to drifting/racing/car scene as a whole, but I fell in love with the vibes of this video.

That drift edit at the end is genuinely one of the coolest edits I've ever seen. Looks like something that came straight out of NFS ProStreet. Nice job!

2 things to keep in mind with the handbrake irl vs in beamng:
1. Your car can probably overpower your brake otherwise the engine would want to stall, if you are hard on the power clutch out and handbrake you are unlikely to get the result you want. (you also may have auto clutch on in beamng which would clutch for you when you brake)
2. Not all handbrakes lock the rear wheels some just give you a little braking. You may need to upgrade your parking brake to get a really good lockup

Hope that helps and you had fun out there!

Maybe we spend 40 hours with each other, but it was still not enough! 20 minutes video of warming my heart! Thanks Mighty for this weekend!

Love the fact you added Offspring to the video, brings so many vibes of childhood playing Gran Turismo 2 and Toca 3

I’m convinced to this day that playing dirt rally on my psvr with a g29 saved my life. I hit ice on the road and just controlled the slide through the corner like a Monaco rally stage. No panic at all until I realised what I’d done. It was my first winter (in a car, lifetime biker boy).
