I luv that pope too .. even though I am not Catholic I keep up on him and pray for him and have had many dear Catholic friends through the years.. <3 So thankful that Pres. Nelson was blessed to meet with him <3 Luv that prophet also <3

A great exemple of the Lord's commandement to be One : our faith in Christ is indeed a commonality, and in this we truly are brothers and sisters in Christ. I also always felt that pope Francis is a righteous man and I think that our prophet's compliments towards him are much more than just cordial étiquette but are deeply meant. Two brothers in Christ have met. I feel this same Brotherhood/Sisterhood with many other christians and believers that are not members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints : Christ is gathering all His sheep and soon we will be One in Him, what a joyous expectation!

If you believe that this pope is part of the Great Apostasy why do you meet with him? Why do you minimized your differences? The differences aren't as important as what you share? Really? There are quite a few BIG differences. I wonder that since the Mormon Church can't cozy up to Evangelicals, they want to cozy up to the Pope because Catholics are not as intense as they used to be. Gives the LDS Church an air of legitimacy.
