My son just purchased the YZ250F because the dealership had it in stock. He loves it and I’m jealous. I made the switch from bikes to a banshee in 98 and of all the bikes I’ve had which have all been 2 strokes this bike blows them away. I’ve watched the advancements of 4-strokes over the years but never appreciated it until riding this one. I was planning on getting a 450 but not anymore. I do like this version especially for the extra gear. For me it will come down this X or the YZ250. Like you said I also wish Yamaha would make a 300/350! Thanks for the video!

Awesome bike I have been watching this bike for along time looks like this is the one to have with six speed wide ratio gearbox nice

I see this bike as filling the same role as the YZ250X: versatile, relatively low maintenance, and ultimately a jack-of-all trades bike. Both aren't as lightweight, specialized, or developmentally advanced as several KTM models, but both have cheap/available parts, are ultra-well rounded, and are tried and true platforms.

Seems like a great bike to compete with KTM! Don’t get me wrong I love my orange bikes, but I love to see progress and expansion in the off-road community. Could anybody tell me the differences between the X and the FX?

How is it for flaming out in slow technical trails? I really want to go for a 4 stroke over a 2 stroke but my old yz250f was terrible. I no thats a motorcross bike but have they fixed that on the Fx? Heavier flywheel maybe?

Yes, let’s wrap the hottest part of the exhaust all the way around the Cylinder Head 👎🏻
That being said, if you’re using it for a Snow-Bike Conversion....that design should help keep heat in the engine 👍🏻

Slobbish lazy review. That's a weapon, can you ride it where is the ride skills. 450fx a cracker short shifting around . Blind leading the blind.
