I was in a band then and I was in a bar in Chicago where we played at pretty regularly. There was no music that night so the TV was on and tuned to this movie. When it ended, there wasn't a dry eye in the house; as this was Chicago, it really made an impact and still does.

Both actors did an amazing movie in a “made-forTV” environment. But it’s because it was based on real life. The two real men of football and the society and culture they grew up in broke down barriers and set an example of true friendship in competition and life in general. They were heroes at the time and examples we still all should be living up to.

It was truly a wonderful film I think that both actors did an amazing job it is one of the most touching movies these two men became great friends and helped each other At The end of the movie the coach says don’t think about how Brian Piccolo died but how he lived.
