Jill Stein: 'Hillary Is Too Big to Jail'

In this Majority Report clip, Jill Stein answers a question on a CNN presidential town hall about whether or not Hillary Clinton should be granted access to the classified-information briefings that candidates are given access to at this point in the presidential race.

You don't talk about Jill Stein because no matter how much you criticize the Democratic establishment, you are still Democratic loyalist. Which makes you a part of the estalbishment. The powers that be know your routine and are fine with you're song-and-dance: complain and then get back in line.

I tried to stick it out with channels like Majority Report, Thom Hartmann, and Ring of Fire, but I'm calling it quits. Now that the primary is done and Sanders is not the nominee, these programs have revealed themselves to be Democratic party first, progressive second. I've no interest in that. I'm not adverse to a different point of view, but there's nothing new being offered here that I don't already know. "Trump is a monster, other Republicans are nearly as bad, Clinton might do something we like, and neo-liberalism is better than fascism."

This is the foundation for the commentary on the show. You're worried about how Stein's words will affect voters in the election and possibly fuel the right wing's attacks rather than actually thinking about what Stein said objectively. So, are you saying that Clinton wasn't indicted because of who she is and the influence she has, much like all of the Wall St. executives that we all know were "too big to jail"? If so, that doesn't align with the less-powerful people who have been indicted under similar circumstances and you're incorrect on this issue.

How is this bad in any way....? High Political figures have shown to be given immunity from criminal prosecution and this is an example. Put simply, you can disagree on the severity of the rule breaking but there was an undeniable lack of accountability on her part.

What are you talking about? I don't support Stein but she was asked specifically about the emails so she had to respond on that. Whether you think what Clinton did would mean she was jailed is one thing, but surely you agree that in our current society some people are too big to jail, right? And if you accept that then surely you must also agree that Clinton (and Trump for that matter) are amongst that number of people.

I am so completely done, you lost me too.. I completely agree with Jonathan, below! I couldn't of said it better myself. You got to understand something not some, not half, but most people who are HRC supporters are only voting for her as the lesser of two evils.. But, they r still ultimately voting for evil! The 3rd party candidates offer us a chance today not throw away our vote on evil, its not necessarily a vote to win, but the more votes for our beloved 3rd party candidate, the bigger and brighter the message we send to our government!
