I think most ICU nurses do try for optimization, whether it is those labs or BP parameters (of course parameters might be higher in such patients to improve cerebral perfusion or for SCPP). Not sure if this is a tip per say though? Still good learning!

So HOW do you make sure labs are normal, oxygen levels are appropriate, etc. so their body can focus on primary injury?

How is Hydrocephalus a secondary injury?
Are you suggesting that if primary injury can be identified and treated that Hydrocephalus can be cured? I've had Hydro and been shunted for 40 years now
