The DNA evidence is very strong, but the fact that the prosecution has a lot of smaller pieces of evidence that are independent and different is even stronger. It’s more difficult to explain or defend against a collection of evidence than one big piece. The police did an outstanding job on this one.

Idaho University's Fall term started 08/22/2022. His first cell ping near their house was 08/22/2022! He was stalking them from the first day of class! That's so creepy! Also, if DM's account is accurate, it would seem that perhaps these poor kids were NOT in fact killed in their sleep. How awful.

Let's hear about DMs phone activity before/after the murders??? What was her activity on the phone 4am-12pm?? 1am-4am?

Excellent team effort coverage. REALLY appreciate delivery style…no over the top high drama. No over enthusiastic sensationalism ❤

Regarding witness DM's behaviour, people need to realise this wasn't marked as 'quadruple murder in your house day' on her calendar. And that it was 4 in the morning. You don't want to make yourself the 'crazy paranoid' housemate by waking the housemates up or calling the police to your known party house for some randomer in a pair of Vans who showed no aggression and just quietly left out the back door.

Also, we do not know whether she texted the others. If she did and got no reply, she could reasonably have assumed they were asleep/passed out/ignoring her-it was 4 in the morning! 99.99% of the time the world is mundane/unremarkable/normal, so it's harsh and to condemn someone for erring on the side of that assumption.

Everyone who has harangued the Moscow Police department owes them a big apology. Their handling of his horrific case has been exemplary of police work and co-operative use of law enforcement resources to the best of all possible outcomes. I don't understand why the public feels entitled to know investigative details. It's imperative that all evidence be protected in order for all the prosecution pieces to fall in place. Congratulations for jobs well done.

The roommate should've called 911 immediately, NO EXCUSES. Freeze or fight mode/shock doesn't apply here. She heard loud crying, someone yelled "someones here", dog barking, then saw the attacker exit the house. She froze and then made the conscious decision to go back to her room and go to bed, choosing to be woefully blind and not check on anyone in the house or call 911 FOR 8 HOURS. WTF.

Could it be Bryan Kohberger was the stalker Goncalves been telling some friends for a period of time prior to the murders? The affidavit did mention he had been stalking their home since mid 2022 on numerous occasions till the time of the murders.

My theory- his target or targets were the two bffs upstairs on the third floor where the sheath was found (possibly indicating he started there). Dylan stated that at 4 am she woke up to what she thought sounded like kaylee playing with the dog. A short time later, she thought she heard kaylee say “there’s someone here.” As the suspect makes his way downstairs, I think he encountered Ethan on the second floor. Surprised by seeing another male in the house and not wanting to risk getting attacked, he proceeds to kill Ethan. Ethan’s girlfriend, Xana possibly witnessed the attacked and started crying. The roommate then states that she hears a male voice say, “it’s ok, I’m going to help you” (although it’s not clarified who the male voice belonged to). Then not wanting to leave a witness alive, the suspect then kills xana making her the 4th victim. Being that the last two murders were possibly not planned, the suspect went into panic mode and didn’t notice Dylan as he walked past her on his way out.

Still baffles me with all she heard and seen why it took over 7hrs to ring emergency services

I wouldn't be surprised if the investigators are just waiting for the right time to give us the motive; they've been great at keeping their cards close to their chest!

What I don't understand is why would Dylan not call 911 immediately after seeing a stranger in the house?

Most obvious answer as to why he didn't kill the witness: It was very dark in the house and her eyes were already accustomed to it. He was looking to quickly exit and was focused on the dim light from the sliding door.

Freezing saved her life as he exited unawares that she was there. Freezing is a survival mechanism of many animals in the wild.

Death penalties were made for cases like this, so senseless and so if found guilty - not acceptable that such a depraved thing live among people.
