I was lucky enough to have him speak for our company a few years ago. I actually won a signed copy of his book and got to shake his hand. It was surreal. He's an amazing man.

100%. You will never grow out of comfort. "A gem cannot be polished without friction, the same as a man cannot be perfected without trials."

7th comment so I hope you see this Mr. B. Firstly I believe you’re a phenomenal actor and I get very excited when I hear your name attached to a project. Secondly your podcast hits deep topics I think people need to hear about real issues and inadequacies in our thinking. I love that you support the veteran community which is in my personal opinion the most underrepresented group in the nation. Please continue to support vets and get their stories out there. Thank you for everything and remember “happiness is a kick in the balls waiting to happen”❤️❤️

Jason Redman wrote "Trident" and "Overcome". Both eye opening books from what I heard. I have only read Overcome, and the book can be life changing.

One can surrender to ones self and be comfortable in absolutely any situation.

The key is to be comfortable enough to be able to function at peak while the outside is trying everything to get in and destroy or at the very least to make so uncomfortable so as to force one to be so full of pain and fear and uncertainty that one cannot be a part of the battle, so that one pulls ones self out, to not even have the wiggle room to even try. . .

This is why as a man, a God fearing man who knows that his God has expectations and that his "people" are also looking towards you to alleviate their discomfort, real and perceived. . .

Just do it, get up and perform. Start and move forward, look down and grind. God will grant you peace one day if you deserve it and be grateful that this lifetime is not a day longer than what it needs to be. .

Pray :)

I completely agree. I failed twice as a leader and it cost two good men their lives. I will never take for granted all the lessons I learned in that. And continue to learn. I wish I could thank them personally.

This guy is legitimately a real life GI Joe. When someone like that tells you victim mindset is bullshit, idk who else you'd listen to.

My uncle got jumped at a military base in Germany. They beat his face in so bad with a baseball bat. He had to have reconstructive surgery. Altho my uncle doesn't look as bad. But when I seen his nose it reminded me of my uncle. That micheal Jackson drip

Crazy to think that we give more praise to movie stars because they made us laugh rather than praising those who let us live.

He got that in combat. That’s a solider fellas 🫡
I seen his story on the history channel he was in real life combat. For me it’s more than all hero’s don’t wear capes. While we’re all going about our days and living our lives there are people out there making sure this thing all go right for us. I mean could you even imagine us being Ukraine right now? Never. I just seen a video of a missile landing in like a shopping center where people were. Couldn’t even imagine that happening in America.

How about the injured folks? The ones with no outside injuries, but hurting nonetheless. And don’t forget the ones that are injured where everyone can see them? The solutions are not that simple.

You cannot grow without comfort. This is an irrefutable fact. If you don't have some place to go where you can be calm and let your gaurd down, both physically and mentally, all your growth will be harmful. You have to be able to turn the suffering off so you can collect your thoughts about how that went, and what you can do to suffer less.
