Item Frames are Weird

I just wanted to make a cool table. That's all. I didn't mean to make a 5-minute video complaining about item frames.

it's because item frames count as mobs like armor stands, boats, minecarts, etc. even though they still count as mobs in bedrock edition, you still can't do most of those tricks in java

Minecraft should update a lot of it (I think some of the strange ones like scar and the grindstone is that they straight up forgot to add new rules to those blocks on how a item frame should interact)

The reason why you cannot place the item frame on top of fences and walls is because their hitbox extends a half block into the space above it. So if you placed an item frame there it would technically be intersecting the fence even though it doesn't look like it. At 2:55 the item frame can't be placed there because the wall is connecting to the block next to it which causes the invisible hitbox above the wall to extend up against the block you want to place the item frame on, preventing the item frame from being placed.
