In this video, we bring together several considerations so far in this series to argue that Paul was not lying nor mistaken in his claim that there were 500 witnesses to the risen Jesus.

The more I watch Paulogia the more I see he seems to say if it isn't super specific, reasonable inference isn't good enough for Christian apologists. But that won't stop him from doing his own speculation about possible Corinthian apostates that investigated. Kind of a heads I win, tails you lose. Keep up the good work! You are growing fast now. I love this series.

Man... I love the visual way in which you make this videos... This helps to simplify a lot of things.
When this series came to his end, I will try to translate it to Portuguese. Do you allow it?

YES Paul was either deceived and thought he found the true Jesus. However Paul found Jesus in the wilderness on the way to Damascus. Jesus warned His disciples not to believe them if they say they found Him in the wilderness. This and many, many examples Jesus warns of Paul. Way too many people have been indoctrinated into believing Pauls letters are 100% from God. Read all Paul's words...many contradictions to Jesus words.

This video is just plain silly. The Corinths lived in Greece and the alleged 500 witnesses were in Jerusalem. It is a 1, 634 mile round trip from Corinth to Jerusalem taking the most direct route (mostly by sea) and the trip would be dangerous, slow and expensive. Very few people could afford such a trip. At that time, few people ventured more than 20 miles from their place of birth. Paul would've gambled on no-one making the trip. However, even if 1 or 2 people made the trip and came away disappointed, who is to say they would make a song and dance about it on their return? Why wouldn't they quietly slink away like most people do today when they leave a faith group?

Not only was Paul’s credibility on the line, but who told him about these supposed 500 eyewitnesses in the first place? The eleven original Apostles.

So not only was his honesty at stake, but _he was even putting the Eleven’s reputation on the chopping block._

That had the potential to utterly destroy Christianity, not only in the Roman world, but in _Jerusalem itself._

Quite the gutsy claim, eh?

Great video, bro! You’ve done it again 😁👍

For I think that God has exhibited US apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death, because WE have become a spectacle to the WORLD, to angels, and to men. WE ARE fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ. WE ARE weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but WE in disrepute. To the present hour WE hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless, and we labor, working with OUR OWN HANDS. When reviled, WE bless; when persecuted, WE endure; when slandered, WE entreat. WE have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things.
1 Cor 4:9‭-‬13
I repeat, let no one think me foolish. But even if you do, accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little. What I am saying with this boastful confidence, I say not as the Lord would but as a fool. Since many boast according to the flesh, I too will boast. For you gladly bear with fools, being wise yourselves! For you bear it if someone makes slaves of you, or devours you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or strikes you in the face. To my shame, I must say, we were too weak for that! But whatever anyone else dares to boast of—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast of that. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I. Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant? If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
2 Cor 11:16‭-‬30
Btw, is POSSIBLE that Paul is lying? Absolutely. But it is probably? Nope.

Sir William Ramsay, The Archaeologist who Discovered Jesus.

Sir William Ramsay ranks among the greatest of all the archaeologists, and was by all accounts, an intellect of the very first order. At the time of his death in 1939, he was considered the foremost authority on the history of Asia Minor. In his life, he held the post of Professor of Classical Art and Architecture at Oxford, and he was appointed Regius Professor of Humanity (the Latin Professorship) at Aberdeen. He was knighted in 1906 to mark his distinguished service to the world of scholarship. Ramsay also gained three honorary fellowships from Oxford colleges, nine honorary doctorates from British, Continental and North American universities and became an honorary member of almost every association devoted to archaeology and historical research.
But long before all these accolades were heaped upon him, he was just another Oxford undergraduate, and an agnostic. He believed, as did most of his peers, that the gospel’s accounts of the life of Christ were mostly an accrual of mythology and legend. According to the thinking of the day, the gospels were written so long after the events they purported to represent, they had very little historic value. After graduation, Ramsay’s area of interest was the Asia Minor of the first century AD. He took with him a copy of Luke’s "Acts of the Apostles, " not because he thought it would be of much use, but because there were so few ancient travelers through that area of the world who recorded their experiences. He reasoned that although "Acts" was an obvious forgery, it still might have some tidbits of information that could shed some light on his discoveries.
He excavated throughout Greece and Turkey for over thirty years. He broke the ground in many of the ancient city sites. He excavated Ephesus, Iconium, Philippi, and many others. At the end of thirty years his opiniVon of Luke as an historian had undergone a dramatic reversal. He knew through firsthand discoveries that Luke was one of those individuals who were characteristically accurate in the information they presented. Ramsay made discovery after discovery that showed Luke was right and his critics mistaken. It got to the point that Ramsay found himself depending on Luke for interpretation of many of his finds. Also, as the evidence began coming in, Ramsay found it overwhelmingly in favor of an early first century date for "Acts." As "Acts" is a continuation of the gospel of "Luke, " then "Luke" also had to have been written at about that time. Those two facts meant to Ramsay that Luke got his information from eyewitness sources, and also, the
early church, which was still filled with eyewitnesses, accepted Luke's gospel as an accurate biography of the Jesus Christ they had personally known. No serious historian suggests they were guilty of deception, they were enduring incredible persecution, precisely because of their belief in Jesus. They were certainly true believers. But what did they believe? While their memories conceivably could have been fuzzy about certain details of Jesus’ life, it stretches credulity way past the breaking point to assume they were mistaken about the main point the gospels make, that Jesus Christ was the greatest miracle worker in recorded history, and that they had SEEN Him resurrected from the dead.
On the basis of those facts, Ramsay felt compelled to accept Jesus Christ as the gospels presented Him, the Son of God, the Savior, Who died on a Roman cross, paying for his, William Ramsay's sins, and Who rose from the dead three days later, defeating death. Sir William Ramsay went to his death trusting this Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior from sin. Information gotten from “The Bearing of Recent Discoveries on the Trustworthiness of the New Testament, ” written by Sir William Ramsay.

Well didn’t the Ephesians hold a trial for Paul over heresy and found that what he was teaching was a deviation of what Jesus taught causing the Ephesians to turn away from pay

Such a controversial issue would have surely left a ripple in the historical record. Even if we didn't have a direct record from one of these hypothetical falsifiers, it would have surely been mentioned and discussed in later Christian literature, much like the issue of the delaying of the Parousia or Judas' apostasy.

A debunking of Paul's claims would have spread beyond the tiny Corinthian circle and would have impacted the larger anti-Christian polemical spheres of the pagans, Jews, and certain heretical groups. But Paul's credibility was never an issue for the earliest Christians or their enemies. If anything, the enemies of Christianity, such as Celsus and the Rabbinic Jews, *avoided* discussing Paul.

You conveniently leave out three possibilities that render all of your arguments here invalid without needing to address the soundness of your premises.
1. Perhaps the Corinthians did not actually make any investigation into the claims, assuming that Paul had done the legwork for them.
2. Perhaps the Corinthians did attempt to verify Paul's claims, but the results were inconclusive.
3. Perhaps the Corinthians did attempt to verify Paul's claims and successfully falsified them, but could not convince those who did not go with them of the results.

Your premises do not allow you to exclude these as possible conclusions, therefore your conclusion does not necessarily follow from your premises.

Hey, would you be able to do some short vieo about the problem of origins of Yahweh? It seems that he originated from some caananite god, which wouldn't make him irrational to believe in, as it would be genetic fallacy, but it still makes most of the first Bible stories seem false, thus, making Bible unreliable. What d'you think?
