Those have a steel road that runs the length of the handle all the way into the top of the head of the hammer which impedes the flow of the material used for the dead blow effect. Snap On designed a composite handle leaving the head of the hammer clear so you get the full effect of the dead blow because there is no rod impeding the material used for the dead blow effect. This also allows the Snap On dead blow hammers to lesson the vibration that transfers to the user resulting in less user fatigue over time.

love using my 5lbs deadblow to pop stuck tires off hubs without damaging the rim. a tool everyone should really have.

Have you tried the Estwing Deadhead? It's a lightweight mallet with deadblow properties

Correction the Milwaukee which I own are cheaper compared to the icon, and I gotta say using it professionally daily they’re amazing and I’m glad I went with them instead of the snap on cause he wanted my future child soul 😂 and that was for like two of them

The difference between polypropylene and polyurethane us huge..The polyurethane hammers are 3x better easily more value there. the Pittsburgh is polypropylene..The ICON is Eurothane

Go Pittsburgh orange for dead blows. Based on my use, for hammers in general, I could never see why I need to spend a lot of money for something you pound the snot out of.
