Hendersonville announces new police chief

Hendersonville city manager announced on Friday that Blair Myhand will be the new police chief.

Myhand’s career began in Washington, D.C., in 1994. Ten years later, he transitioned to the Apex Police Department, where he rose through the ranks to captain. He’s currently on leave from the Clayton Police Department, where he was hired in 2017.

Myhand is currently on non-disciplinary administrative leave from his post in the town of Clayton.
