Do you have muscle aches and pains? Have you been diagnosed with a muscle condition like fibromyalgia or chronic pain? There could potentially be a connection between chronic muscle pain and thyroid dysfunction.

When you have low thyroid function, you often have more muscle pain. The reason for this is because there are certain key minerals that allow the thyroid gland to perform its function. Some of these minerals are the same key minerals that allow muscles to perform their function. If you are deficient in these key minerals, your thyroid gland could be tipping things out of balance. You could be mineral deficient for a number of reasons including diet, lifestyle strategies, or even if your gut is not functioning properly causing you to not absorb these minerals as it should.

If you have been suffering for some time with a muscle condition, it’s time to look a little deeper and figure out what other systems in your body could be out of balance. Could it be that your thyroid is not working properly? It’s really important that you work with someone who understands there is the potential for this link. There is quite a bit of research around this and I’d be happy to work with you to see if this might be the cause of your pain.
