A vendor, I work Shows with, in N.C. has a regular price, and a cash price. He makes his money, by selling more guns, at better prices. (Anywhere, from 135 to 180, per 2 day show) Cash, will get you a better deal, because he doesn't have to pay, the credit card company, a transaction fee.

Correct observations: (my favorite is the last day ammo bargains) it’s the same with surplus equipment- Boxes, tubes, heavy tarps ETC.

Here’s a few hacks I found.

1) show up on Fridays at the Wanamaker show and offer help to vendors setting up = some will others won’t but you don’t have to pay for admission and you get a sneak peek. 2) always sell your freedom sticks through a dealer = it keeps you out of imperial entanglements. 3) know your surroundings I have seen stuff that hits the spiders senses. 4) locate tables with the best prices and revisit = sometimes those deals are already gone by the time you return so go with the gut. 5) watch out for entrapment items - those tables are there to build the ATF’s confidential informants base (jail or fines or the Randy Weaver treatment if you refuse their offers.

I like the idea of being the first in line. However, the real trick is to go in with the dealers as they are unloading their vehicles. Offer to help carry in some boxes. Once inside, start walking around looking for what you came for.

Good Evening Mr. Andre: Yes I saw your video to the end 😀. Thank you for making the do's & don'ts buying guide at the gun show. For me up here in the NE it's a real pain in the ass together to one. It will definitely be in PA cause the surrounding states are not gun friendly 😢. As always sir my best to you & your family ❤️, TMP from N.J. ( SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED & LET'S GO BRANDON ). 😊😊😊😊😊😂.

I’ll buck the trend and disagree. I don’t see the point of arriving early or late. As said here, vendors all set up the day before and snap up each others deals only to mark them up to sell to you. If there’s going to be a good deal then there’s going to be a good deal any time of the day. Unless something is uncommon or rare it’s unlikely dealers are going to sell out. They likely have some stock. If not then what are they going to sell at next weeks show or the one after that or after that? If a seller has a deal then they probably offered that same deal at the last show they attended and they’ll offer it at the next show they attend. (Kind of like the permanent “Going out of business” sign at your local gift shop.) Be it the first few minutes of the show, the middle of the show or the end of the show prices aren’t likely to change nor is a sellers willingness to negotiate. How many permanent, often hand written, “On Sale” signs and tags do you see at the show? They are certainly not desperate to make a sale because the show is ending. Sellers have no incentive to try and unload their stock just because the show is nearly over. They’ll just sell it at next weeks show in the next town over. Anyone who gets a good deal at the beginning or end of a show would likely have gotten that same deal at any other time during the show. Don’t be fooled by “Best Price at the Show” signs. (I once attended a Luau in Hawaii. It was, “The Best Luau in Kauai!” I was expecting great things. It was a horrible Luau. Turns out “The Best Luau in Kauai” was literally just the name of the luau. It didn’t live up to it’s name.) Admittedly it’s true that there are times when a seller might just have one and if you pass it up to canvas the rest of the show first then you might lose out, but that’s the risk. If it’s a deal then don’t skip it just because you just got started. You might find the gun $10 cheaper later, but you might not. Either way you will have your new gun. If you find the gun you want then no matter the price try to negotiate. Always politely! If you get a price you’re happy with then great! If not then be willing to walk away. It’s a big show.

I never buy ammo at a gun show. Deals are rare. If you do find one then the ammo is questionable. I would certainly never buy reloads or remanufactured ammo. If the ammo looks legit then it’s probably no deal and I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere – like online. The only exception might be if the ammo is a caliber that is next to impossible to come by even in the best of times.

Oh yes, ignore any sellers who are selling crap completely unrelated to guns. Giving them attention only encourages them. You’re there to buy a gun or something gun related, not a timeshare, a silk flower arrangement or home made peanut-brittle.

Do go and look at everything but don’t buy anything. That’s my secret. I see my ammo dealer, pj.
