It’s called gyroscopic precession, and you can use the right hand rule to find it, so, have your middle finger pointing down but extended, your pointer finger up, and your thumb up (look it up if you need, first, find the vectors, you can do this by just having a thumbs up on your right hand, and having curled fingers, rotate your hand till the curled fingers have the angle of the initial spin, the direction your thumb is pointing is the vector or axis of the initial spin, then, do the same for the applied angular force (torque)) now, have the original right hand rule configuration, and rotate your hand till your pointer finger is in the direction of the spin axis, and your middle finger is in the direction of the torque axis (don’t move your fingers, just rotate your hand) the direction of your thumb is the axis of which the precession occurs, which should be perpendicular to both the torque and applied force axis, now, just have a thumbs up with curled fingers again, point your thumb in the direction of precession you found a second ago and the direction of your curled fingers should be the direction in which applied angular force is directed, in this case, the torque axis is on the left side of the disc looking from where the battery is, the initial spin vector is going forward with the back being the battery side and therefore, the precession axis is an upwards one, and thus, looking from the top, it rotates in a counterclockwise direction, which you can actually see in the video, in summary, gyroscopic precession turns rotation down into rotation sideways, stopping the disc from falling over.
