q: why does it seem like it defies physics?
a: because it's following a principle of physics

Fun fact if you were to create a giant planet sized gyroscope it'd be really cool

Its cool that you can feel angular momentum with fidget spiners

Hold up Mark saying it's angular inertia makes it so much more easier to understand now

It's like a Basketball. Without velocity you can tap it side to side. But if you throw it, it will try to keep moving

The actual physics behind it is actually really really really complicated so complicated that this is basically the deepest you can explain this without it completely going over the head of the average joe

If it's fast and/or heavy enough, if you're in the iss and try to rotate it without being attached to something, you'll be the one rotating around it and i love that idea
