In the ever growing landscape of 3-row utility vehicles, the Toyota Sequoia often gets lost in the shuffle. But, Toyota is making it harder for that to happen, giving it a TRD treatment sure to make it stand out in any carpool lane, and maybe even at the off-road park too.

$15k more and still no locking rear differential on the TRD Sequoia and Tundra....hmmm.

John Davis is 72 years old and still looks like it's 1985.

Only Toyota can make such an old truck (Tundra too) so desirable with just paint and trim. This Army Green color makes me drool and I love the TOYOTA print on the grill.

I still like the "ancient and outdated" Sequoia and Tundra.

The Sequoia and the Land Cruiser were never redesigned, ever since I was 17 years old in early 2008. I was a high-school senior in early 2008. Yes they're reliable, but not having a redesign for that long since 2008 is like trying to relive the late 2000s in the next decade.

I'm gonna say it now.

Given this platform is from 2008, it's bound to be due for a refresh very soon (2022, is it?), thus making this generation TRD very low in production numbers.

This will end up being the next FJ40, Wagoneer, or Syclone/Typhoon in terms of being wildly sought after in 25-30 years. If only I had the scratch to buy one of these TRDs...

This is the last year of Toyota's super reliable 5.7 v8. The Tundra will have a twin turbo v6 in 2022. Sequoia most likely to follow.

Will there be a retro review of the Toyota Sequoia?

Old ass truck. When are they going to update this platform?

That seat leather is already showing wear...at 1:50.

Worth every penny! If you adhere to a regular maintenance schedule. In particular, (change your fluids; Full Synthetic: differential, transfer case, and transmission, every 30k miles, your Oil; Full Synthetic, every 5k miles, and Radiator Collant every two years) that Sequoia will easily last 500k miles with relatively little trouble. Also, change your radiator and gas cap every two years. They will cause problems if you don't.

I think Toyota has lost it. I understand keeping the platform due to reliability, but $65 k? I'd get a 4Runner TRD before this and save some $$$. Better yet, a certified pre-owned Land Cruiser and truly have the cream-of-the-crop.

The TRD 4 runner is very nice and it'll probably be my next vehicle. I'll just have to overlook the outdated interior

Why some car companies never update thier cars

I love my own Sequoia, but to not call out that interior (dash in particular) quality that's worse than any Corolla dating back some 30 years is a blind spot in this review. I've always felt they needed to hobble it somehow, so it did not eat too much into Land Cruiser's small market share. But that's not good product planning.

Garant vs Norfolk Southern Railroad. After being hired in 2011 and telling the physical doctor that I may have M.S. and after being approved for FMLA in 2015 for possible M.S., then fired in 2016 for possible M.S. and with such a rush, attempted to cancel medical insurance for my family and I a month before they were allowed legally, in hopes I die without medical aid as a result of their actions!
