Probability is the branch of mathematics of chance and is the study of randomness.
It predicts possibilities of events and provide measure of the likelihood of its occurrence.
Conditional Probability
If the probability of an event can change depending on the outcome of previous event, then the concept of conditional probability be used to solve the situations. A vertical bar is used to represent the conditional probability.
P(B|A): Probability that B occurs given that A has already occurred.
Independent Events
If the events are independent, then the probability will not change.
P(B│A)=P(A│B)=P(A)∙P(B)
Restricted Sample Space
Conditional probability situations can be solved by restricting the sample space of the outcome to the event that has already occurred.
