Two-Way Tables & Calculating Conditional Probability

Using a two way table we can calculate the probabilities a randomly selected individual will have certain characteristics. We can also use conditional probabilities to determine if two events are independent. If two events are independent, knowing that one event has occurred gives you no additional information about whether the other event will occur or not.

Next, using our conditional probabilities, we create a graphical display to show that of four different animal classes, amphibians are the most threatened with extinction.
