Teletype Model 15 Slow Motion

Just a personal video I made for myself, so I could take a closer look at the mechanics of this Teletype. In the first couple of shots, you're seeing the selector magnet, and the cam assembly on the end of the main shaft. I'm alternating between typing "R" and "Y", and you can see each letter being set up on the individual arms: 10101 and 01010. (Each letter is 5 bits)

At least once I hit "FIGS-BELL" to ring the bell.

The next set of shots are the function levers on the right, and the printing bail on the left.

The final part is looking into the rear of the machine while the mainshaft, cams, and clutches do their thing.

I have always wondered how the serial data bits are converted to one single getter. Now i understand slightly more about it. Impressive machine.
