I bought an Optiplex, and didn't realize that I bought a ssf model. Even then, i slapped some ram, SSD, and a low profile GPU and able to game.

I worked my ass off on one of these in college, great PCs. So I recently bought a small factor optiplex from ebay for £20. Looking forward to upgrade this little guy and make a storage server out of it 😍🍷

I have a Dell 7010 and replaced the PSU with a larger one also. Took the latching mechanism out and put a couple of really small magnets on the frame and then the door would shut pretty snug to the magnets.

I got my 9020 put together a couple weeks ago and love it! Got a little carried away, did PSU, SSD, GPU(1660s) more ram and swapped in noctua fans. Added a 140mm intake fan to the front of the case. Just painted it all white and am going to put a plexiglass window in in the next couple weeks with some LEDs.😎😅

I had the same trouble but found with the arm left in, but unhooked from the frame you are able to pry to the out side enough to work the power supply back into the case with a little work without much trouble. The hard part is putting the latch arm back into the notches in the frame. (note that the spring also has to be left in place due to no room to re-attach the spring after the power supply is in place.) I just did it myself.

Lots of "jankys" and "caveats" are exactly why I like these videos. I just recently slapped a 5500xt into an old optiplex of mine with a new PSU and it's working great. Ran into the issue with losing the front panel connectors. I might have to buy that flexible adapter. Thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to the next video!

Recuerdo la primera vez que lo ví en un cyber, me motivó a modificar mi Optiplex 9020, no estaba abierta mi sesión pero le tomé foto y ahora estoy desde mi PC GAMER modifacada a mi alcance económico. 😁

I just destroyed my case by putting a gtx1080 into mine. The horror... The horror.... I going to have nightmares for years. That poor HD cage put up a hell of a fight.

Bought same like this optiplex
Last week used. Change the psu, removed the drive cage to make room for the gpu, put gtx 1080, ssd and viola! Runs faster than your grandpa!
