Lineage II has one if not the best soundtracks of all time and the best landscapes, I love it so much and it will always hold a place in my heart.

I started in 2004. basically when the game was released. I remember the run from Dark Elf Village to Gludin used to be so scary with all of the aggro spiders and pkers. And the music and sound effects added some horror too. Gone are the good old days. Now pay to win kills everything. If someone could bring this game back with ZERO pay to win and the old school vibe, it would be a HUGE hit!

Yes! That, is an awesome project mate. I never progressed very far in Lineage 2 but I still remember some gaming sessions on it vividly to this day.

This game holds a special place in my heart. My father and I played this for many, many hours. He was an Orc named Kondor, and I was a dwarf named Bubba BadHammer. He is gone now. I will sit and listen to the soundtrack to this game and get choked up. I remember the last time we ever logged out together in Gludio. I had no idea that would be the end.

The memories... the thing I remember the most about this game was the music and the visuals in weapons and armor, you could look to someone and see what he/she was using (grade S, A, B... Light majestic set with a soul separator dagger...) in just one look and for me no other game has acomplish to replicate that and is a pity...

EDIT: If you somehow can bring a working/functional Interlude client to PC and sell it to make private servers, you will have money flowing to you.

I started in Prelude. The meshes with ground with the gaps were in the game originally. They seemed to be extremely noticeable underwater water. We also could see through the world if we panned the camera in certain ways. There was a bug where we could use the camera to see beyond the current area and use the split in the meshes to glitch to the other side. We were using this to jump into Dragon Valley right next Antharas' Lair. I think the teleporters were too expensive to use and the one to Harden's Academy was cheaper or closer to the place where we could jump across the mountains.

I miss this part of the game. This was back before people were spamming soul shots because the economy wasn't saturated with adena. We literally were buying/selling mats to craft gear to crystalize and every resource was precious. We saved arrows even if we weren't bow users.

L2 was not about gameplay. Not about graphics. It was about people who shared the journey with you. The friendship we created. Friends you never met in real life and sometime you even travelled to foreign countries to meet them. People who were there for you.
I am 43 now, but the friendship, we found in game, lasts till today. We no longer pay L2. Maybe even 10 years now. But we still meet, invite friends to wedings, to celebrations of new born children. This game game me so much.
Anyway. I wish you good luck. I personally would prefer PC release. But not VR. I dont even need to play the game, but I would like to have a chance just to walk through the world and let the nostalgia pull me in.

i too played Lineage 2 around that time for the frist time, and boy, this makes me drop tears of joy and sadness and nostalgia, i feel soo thankful because you're trying something we old players wanted to but couln'd because lack of knowlodge of skill can't.
this is soo charming and lovely, i can't wait and i hope to see you doing this at least until high five where is the last part of "old school" lineage 2.
