DIY Fabric Lantern Garland | A Shabby Fabrics Tutorial

Learn how to make a fabric lantern garland. They're so fun and easy to make, and work beautifully with LED string lights on your deck or patio, or inside.

I did make some of these for a friend of mine out of Christmas fabric. She displays them on her mantle with a flameless tea light inside. They really look nice.

Jennifer, is there a reason why you didn't just do the whole fat quarter at one time with the HNB before you cut? Or is it a preference for you.  Love this little project. Will try it when I get a chance. LOL... thank so  much.  I enjoy your videos.

Also, if you will take a straight pin, and lightly scrape the paper side of the HNB, it will be easy to remove.  This is what I do. :)

If you pass a pin in the middle of the paper of the heat and bond and make a cut (with the pin) you will be able to take that paper off much easier.

Could you staple the yarn to the lanterns..    so you could use ribbons or rickrack.  Could you put a hole in the handle and put them on a string of Christmas white ligets so you have a light in them..

These are so darling. Is that pink glue gun cordless? If so, where can I purchase one? I've looked everywhere for one! can't seem to find one anywhere. I LOVE SF tutorials!
