Bully Maguire comes out from Eren's Titan.

It's just insane to see Eren started this whole story the way he wanted and was literally THERE all the way back in Ep 1. This is some next level story telling right here.

Both animation companies have their unique style that just compliments the manga

I heard Wit gave Mappa their assets for AoT such as backgrounds and the like, so that’s why they’re able to match up a lot of things

I feel like WIT's artstyle is a perfect suit for the tone of season 1, while Mappa's artstyle is the perfect suit for the tone of season 4, both studios did a fantastic job here

It's not been animated here but in the manga ( first chapter) when Grisha says he will show eren what's in the basement when he's back, he's looking in a different direction. In chapter 121 ( current ep) it's shown why. Isayama's foreshadowing is crazy. Truly a genius.

If you look at that part where Grisha helds out the key, during wit times, we saw only the key, but mappa showed the entire face of him being terrified.

The most fascinating thing is the re-making of every move almost frame by frame.

I LOVED Wit’s linework, it made the show stand out, the characters looked more individualistic, the lighting is more rich, and the animation was more effective.

Mappa did an amazing job in Season 4, but in my honest opinion WIT Studio definitely gave AoT its own unique aesthetic and style.

I like to think the first set is how Eren remembered it from before he kissed Historias hand. His father looks calmer, a lot more normal, because a child doesn’t always catch the small details. Then in the MAPPA version looking back, the guilt and fear in his eyes is so obvious, because Eren is seeing it from his own adult perspective now.

Mappa grimmer and darker tones really suits Season 4 storyline, some of the scenes especially in season 4 part 1 were not up to the mark but considering the time they had they have done a fantastic job overall and what they have able to achieve despite these deadlines is something which needs to be appreciated, both studios has done tremendous job overall to take this masterpiece to next level

Both studios did well with the time and resources available to them

The obvious difference is their art style. WIT used a lot of highlights to showcase light reflecting the sides of faces and hair and uses bold outlines whist MAPPA are a little more detailed and more like the manga. I love both although i do feel like WiT has more of a higher budget and cinematic look as they tend to use more frames in movement. Either way though with the time frame MAPPA had they did an outstanding job

Both studios gave their 100% effort in animating this masterpiece. Thank you WIT and MAPPA <3

Mappa's version looks darker and colder. It's like Eren is so disillusioned and detached that even the memories of his childhood don't invoke any feelings in him.

Literally just saw this episode a couple days before this new one dropped, so seeing it again was surreal. I was like "wtf it's identical to episode 1" gave me chills bro

Both studios did an amazing job here. Though I slightly prefer WIT, they both knocked it out of the park.

The fact that Grisha talking to young Eren but actually looking at older Eren is chilling.
