Loki Pitch Meeting

Step inside the pitch meeting that led to Loki!

Since his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe more than a decade ago in 2011’s Thor, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has stood out as a super charismatic villain in a sea of less-than-charismatic Marvel villains. Subsequently appearing in several Marvel movies and surviving multiple on-screen deaths, Loki is now the star of his very own series on Disney Plus.

Loki definitely raises some questions though. Like why wasn’t Loki’s time travel allowed by the TVA if it’s exactly what caused the Avengers to time travel, which WAS allowed? How does watching a quick video montage completely change Loki, who was literally just slaughtering thousands of people in New York just a few moments ago? How do Loki’s actions in Pompeii not create a butterfly effect, when he causes people to perish in different positions than intended? Has nobody with enchantment powers ever been pruned before? When will we get to see Owen Wilson on a jet ski?

To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to Loki! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

"We're not the same person, I have glasses!"

Superman hears this from another dimension and smiles

"We're not the same person, I have glasses."

I honestly forget this is the same person.

"If Loki's gonna be the star of a Marvel show, we're gonna have to see him shirtless"

That is way too accurate.

I like to think that in Alligator Loki's case, he just decided he wanted to be an alligator and never changed back despite what everyone else said.

“What does he care. He just killed tons of people in New York.”
“Sir he watched a video. He cares about this stuff now!”

The "wow" joke was a true stroke of genius and I'm sort of offended that I don't see enough comments about it.

That's the best Owen Wilson "wow" I've ever heard.

"that's because his power level changes from scene to scene, depending on what I want to happen"

THANK YOU.

*THANK YOU*

*MAN, WAS THAT ANNOYING-- Especially when he got beat up by a human in a trucker hat. Guys he's supposed to be weaker than Thor not weaker than EVERYONE.*

I was ESPECIALLY confused with why being thrown off a train would be the end of the he can turn into a BIRD, why not just FLY to the spaceship?

Ryan, the Owen Wilson impression on the last of the "wows" is the best thing you have ever done. That was a masterpiece.

Legend says this Pitch Meeting will take an Hour and will reveal that Producer Guy & Scriptwriter Guy are both variants of Ryan George.

Watching the show, I felt like it was a bit of a missed opportunity the way they had him simply watch a video in order to retcon him into being the Loki we saw at the start of Infinity War.
I’d have liked to have seen a whole show featuring asshole Loki travelling through the space-time continuum on a bunch of crazy, morally ambiguous adventures where maybe by the _end_ he learns a couple of life lessons.

But I guess that’s not the direction they wanted to go in.

"He just killed Phil Coulson." Well, if there is one thing Marvel has made clear over the last few years, it's that they do not give a f*ck about Phil Coulson after The Avengers. So this tracks.

my favorite thing about marvel pitch meetings is that most of the plot holes they find are actually valid rather than them not understanding the movies/shows unlike so many other nitpicking I've heard
