Steps:

- Open up finder from the dock, then click ‘applications’ from the left sidebar.

- Find the application that you would like to add to your desktop.

- Then drag and drop the application onto the desktop.

- You can now double-click on the app icon to open the app.

- To remove app icons from your desktop you can drag and drop them into the trash.

- This will just remove the app icon from the desktop, not remove the app from your mac.

NO NO NO! Facebook, Youtube, and...!? Whatever other icons I used to have that disappeared! Favorite website shortcuts that I had--are NOT in the app!!!! Just stuff like calendar, calculator--stuff that's in the computer:/ is NOT what I want on my desktop!
