The Custom Classic Stratocaster is the Custom Shop’s version of the Fender American Series Strat. Features include a thin-finished alder body, lightly-figured “C” maple neck, maple fingerboard with a 9.5” radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and Fender deluxe staggered cast/sealed machine heads. The Custom Classic also features three Modern Classic single-coil pickups, including the Hot Classic bridge pickup with custom steel inductance plate.

I’m so glad I bought one of these back in 2005. It was like $1, 600 back then..about $100 more than a Clapton Strat. You could get an American Standard back then for $1, 000…I got a Custom Classic in 3 tone sunburst with a rosewood board. The headstock and neck has beautiful birdseye maple. It has a soft v shape. Which is the best feeling neck I’ve ever played. The pickups are fantastic! The neck and middle sound like classic 60’s strat and the bridge is extremely versatile. .I need to get another one of these with a maple neck.
