My old man said very little. But spoke volumes in his actions. I miss you Dad.

By the time my brother and I were aged 11 or 12 mum couldn't tell what to do anymore, however...."wait till your father gets home!", we knew we'd get our asses kicked! It kept us in line. Very lucky we had father like that!

Damn I miss my father. Men, please reach out and tell your father you love them. Some of us didn't say it enough and now it's too late.

My mom instilled that into me. I have the greatest respect for her and my father. My father taught me the Lord's prayer.

My grandfather was my biggest cheerleader and my fiercest corrector of infraction.
I have three special memories of him straightening out my bratty self and making me like myself better because I stopped the bad behaviour.
Grampa was my hero!

I will be totally honest in this reply. My whole family set a high level of expectations for me. However, they never specifically had to push me. They just told me if I ever failed at something, it was due to ME not doing my best YET at it. They encouraged me to succeed at everything I attempted. It worked.

Also, END the childhood s-ual abuse that is much more common than we want to believe.
It’s a major contributing factor to all the issues we’re seeing.
