Pull the bottom rack out first and unload the dishes then do the top rack, so the water from the top doesn't fall onto the bottom rack

Omg... I came here for dishwasher advice, but I'm in love with your organizational skills. Love your washcloth drawer and cup cupboard.

If your dishwasher smells, you aren't cleaning it. Yes, it does need to be cleaned. I also use Affresh dishwasher cleaning tablets once in a while, they keep our dishwasher perfectly clean. And don't forget to clean the filter at the bottom of the washer.

when the cycle ends I towel dry the tops of glasses, shake the plastics and most importantly leave the door open to dry! works great

I add a tablespoon of citric acid in the bottom of the dishwasher every time I use it. We have really hard water and this softens it to perfection so no spots. It also cleans the dishwasher every time. Cheap and easy to come by at Walmart (in the canning area) or Amazon. Plus no stinky vinegar smell. My appliance repair guy told me about it.

Towel trick works great especially when you put it soon after the cycle ended. Personally i hang it over the door because my roommates all have ADHD and the visual cue reminds them to unload the dishwasher + not put dirty dishes in :D

If you have a heater coil, vinegar will rust it. CLR is what I use but takes 2 cycles with a rinse. I crack the door open 20 minutes after the cycle ends, no moisture trapped..

Just crack the door when finished and the steam escaping dries the dishes off, empty bottom first just in case. Always leave the door open and there won’t be a smell, same with washing machines.

I just open the door after the cycle and they completely dry, I use the cheapest dishwashing compound from Walmart & one packet of lemon flavored unsweetened koolaid in my dishwasher the koolaid is mainly Citric acid which dissolves the mineral deposits! No more spotty dishes!😊

If your washer is kind of stinky you need to clean out the filter, it shouldn’t stink.

I do the shake method where I pull out the top rack and shake it a few times to get water off and then shake the bottom rack - usually shake dishes before I go to work n put away when I get home lol

I like to open the dishwasher immediately after it's done, shake any excess water off the dishes, then leave it for a couple hours. Perfectly dry!

My dishwasher just dries the dishes after the washing cycle is completed. 🤷

And I have a tip for you: after the rinse cycle, open the door to let the steam out, just for five or ten seconds. Your dishes will dry completely, and you don't even need that towel.
