NEW Home Inspection Walkthrough in Mesa, AZ

This NEW home in Mesa, AZ has some thoughtful features. Gutters, oversized switches, and RO system ready by the builder. Just having gutters on a home in Arizona is such a great improvement over 90% of them. We see foundation problems daily, and gutters, routed properly, can prevent most of them.

That is one of the strangest electrical issues I’ve seen. If you get an update on that I’d love to hear it. So far DR Horton is the only builder I’ve seen use those new style light switches. Also something interesting I discovered when replacing washing machine valves is that those built in water hammer arrestors are useless when the washing machine is actually connected. Because of the way the ball valve shuts off the water, the water hammer arrestor is only active when the valve is closed. That seems a little ridiculous to me because the valves will be open whenever the washing machine is installed and therefore the water hammer arrestor is useless lol. There could be something I’m missing but that’s what it seems like from examining two different brands of washing machine valves with built in water hammer arrestors.
