I’m telling you from a professional plumber who’s been operating in repairing pool pumps for the last 25 years when you pull a impeller off a pool pump you need to replace the ceramic shaft seal because it will leak if😢 your impeller housing is warped, it will cause it to leak. If impeller is warped, this will also cause water to get into the motor and short out the motor recommendation go to a pool store and get the impeller and the rear housing for your pump and a new motor. It’s cheaper than buying a whole new pump.

Build a boat with an air intake like a jet but for the propeller. This will allow you to better control the power of the ejected water flow.

It was equipped with a tiny Electric one from factory. Now it's able to be set up without

The pump may not be shorted, water on its own wont normally cause a problem. It is more than likely the start switch in the back. If it sticks open it wont start and draw high amps. If it doesn't open it will run really slow. If it's shorted on windings they will be obviously burnt.

For now so no algae growth, super shock add an extra pound of shock, get you through till next pump. You can go to your nearest pool store(Leslie’s pool supplies carry’s pumps for all pools) and get a new one
