Sir, at 5:27 you have already gotten the (e^x - e^-x)/2 which is the sinh(x) function. Done! Plugging the upper and the lower limits into this sinh(x) will give the answer without going into the e's.

It's just L = Sinh (Sqrt(2)) - Sinh(1) = 0.759865629, which is only a few key strokes on a calculator. (the mess of e functions works out to the same value; but isn't as direct.
