5. Its inclusion on ancient maps.
Its not like the cartographers had actually seen these places, but were simply compiling and copying sources that they already had. Take the Roman map of Pomponius Mela, 43 CE - it has tons and tons and TONS of fake islands in the middle of nowhere, bc there were accounts made by some sailors of discovering islands or whatever. These maps were completely wrong, and as for Hyperborea, nobody could even fact check it bc nobody was willing to go up north js for that.

4. Whites as gods in American traditions.
Firstly, Fingerprints of the Gods is pseudoscientific conspiratorial nonsense, so you have to fact-check everything Graham Hancock says in the book, because half of it is false. It is not strange for gods to be represented as human beings. White is a color associated with good and is very unnatural.
Also the Mayans do not have a god like this, "Votan" is just a dialectal name for Quetzalcoatl. Also, "Viracocha" means "sea foam", only Quetzacoatl means feathered serpent - sea foam being a very common deity, cf. Epic of Gilgamesh.
And, wow, they worshipped the sun - the Sun was the main deciding factor in Native American regions ofc they did, and you're reading Ionian texts, who were devotees of Apollo, so ofc they would make up tales abt Hyperboreans worshipping and talking about Apollo.
(Also, some Native Americans would have been whiter in the Ice Age when they were crossing the Bering Strait, and some of them would have crossed from Polynesia and would be much browner, so perhaps this myth originates from them sometimes meeting each other)

Ok, so are you talking about the Arctic or the Antarctic? And you are pulling this from Fingerprints of the Gods without checking, so let me help you: no, the Antarctica depicted on the map does not match an ice-free Antarctic coast, unlike what Graham Hancock says, and you can see this for yourself by actually looking at where the ice shelf on Antarctica lies. He got this information likely from corrupted Portuguese maps.

Herodotus also writes about flying snakes being alive in Arabia, Indians using giant ants to dig up gold, and was ridiculed by other ancient Greek historians of his time for making stuff up, like saying Greeks won wars against Carthaginians that they lost, and almost every account of every battle is exaggerated in the amount of participants, the magnitude of the war, etc.
Also Scythians aren't the oldest IE, Vedic Hindus and Sanskrits are much older, Greeks can even be said to be older
And you mentioning that the Hyperboreans are equated with the Scythians shows how fake Hyperborea must be, as it was just some vague "land to the north"; the Scythians actually originate to the east of the Caspian and are an Iranian tribe, only then returning back up to conquer lands to the Black sea.
