a weakness of sidewalk is that opponents moves can sometimes align when you input a sidewalk too early. Wits SS cancel, that wont be a thing because you're never early to step as your next one starts before your first one is considered early

it is not a new thing i have been doing this since tekken tag2 but i do a diffrent input for it
on player one side if you do ⬅️↖️⬆️ ⬅️↖️⬆️ ⬅️↖️⬆️ you would get that side step cancel to your character left side
for right side you do ➡️↘️⬇️ ➡️↘️⬇️ ➡️↘️⬇️ hope it helps

I use alisa. And i always sidestepping. Most of time it works. But when i use other character(which its SS is not as good as alisas) i get hit sooo badly.

The comparison is a bit wack since you dont keep holding sidewalk after your character stops being evasive anyways. If you just sidewalk again after your first one stops being evasive you will be quicker more evasive and its easier to do. If you pause the video when the sidewalk stops being evasive you will have a more accurate comparison of which one is quicker imo. But since the video is named fastest "sidestep" id say its fairly accurate anyways. Really fkin cool tech GJ 💪

This is almost exclusively for keyboard and hitbox tbh. Doing this on pad is very very demanding, and doing this on stick is basically impossible.

Just a note for people who are trying to do this that it's probably not worth learning if you're on stick 😅
