A great discussion and summary of the different types of pistons and their applications. Thank for making your Tech Tip Tuesday videos. (Really appreciated). A few weeks ago you covered the subject of determining the correct pushrod length. As a suggestion for a future video, consider a follow-up to push rod length, with one covering rocker arm geometry. I think it would be very interesting, especially on an LS engine or a similar set up with non-adjustable rocker arms.

Hi, I am installing a all STD Manley forged 2618 pistons in to 2015 Range Rover Evoque with 73k miles. Thats Ford Ecoboost 2.0T engine. I am counting on 73k miles run, the natural wear of cylinders will give me those extra .001-002 mm of heat expansion clearance.

So if I want to play with 2618s in my engine, I should get an aluminum block so I can replace the sleeves when piston slap wears the old ones - out with the old, in with the new, but the block should be fine.

How much hp rating for the 4032 forged pistons.415 6.2 street with a f1a p/c, 850-900rwhp the goal. Keeping the compression low, could I run 4032 instead of 2618 to avoid piston slap.

Am I right in thinking it should only take a minute for the cylinder to heat up?
