This song reminds me of my son that passed away Nov 9, 2017 It seemed my life stopped that night. His name is Ryan Crader & he meant the world to me. He loved Merle Haggard, he called him the Hag & had every song the Hag sang. This one is for you Ryan!

My dad was a very good merle hahgard imitator, he sounded exactly like him.it was uncanny. He really loved this song as do I. He would get up on Saturday mornings and sing it while getting ready for the day. He would sing it cooking breakfast . I woke up this morning thinking of him and had to play this song. Dad passed away in2011 may he rest in peace. Miss you Daddy.

The line is "Did what I do, with a willing hand"

It is not "Its what I do, with a willing hand"

You got the lyrics off a lyrics site, and didn't go through them to find the deliberate mistakes that 100 percent of them always have. They put deliberate errors in the lyrics to evade copyright strikes or something. Like the fake little islands that cartographers put in obscure places in their maps to catch people who copy their maps.

I'm surprised this song didn't have more fake lyrics than just the one. Usually there are several of these "mistakes". Please fix it if you can.

We all dream of what we want'a be "when we grow up"., and parent, teachers, all other think "I wish/hope he/she and and strangely enough some of the lucky one get their dreams, but it's not luck, it is something pounding in your head that keeps you/them to keep on pusing, fighting, determination, but the rest of us don't get encouragemrnt, so we just lower the bar down far enougj, so we can "I did it".
