LG CX OLED TV Review (2020) – Amazing All-around Performance

Показать описание
The LG CX is a high-end 2020 OLED TV from LG. It is the successor to the LG C9 from 2019, and is very similar with some new improvements.

Full review:

The LG CX is an excellent overall TV. Like other OLEDs before it, it produces perfect blacks for immersive movie experiences and contrast that pops. It has great viewing angles, near-instantaneous response times, and fantastic reflection handling, so it’ll be great in almost any room. Unfortunately, like other OLEDs, it has a risk of permanent burn-in, but this shouldn't be an issue with varied content.

Model tested: 55” (OLED55CXPUA)
Should also be valid for the 48” (OLED48CXPUA), 65” (OLED65CXPUA), 77” (OLED77CXPUA)

Once you go OLED, there is no going back. The magic remote is incredible also. Well worth the $$$.

You can’t go wrong with an lLG OLED, I’ve had mine for almost a year and the quality still amazes me every time.

I've just bought a Samsung TV (90T) after having the LG CX, this is brighter in my living room, where the LG looked dim, colors were a little more accurate in general with the LG and shadow resolution information was better but on sunny day the LG Oled was just too dull/dark.
Yes I had the LG brightness cranked up.
If I were to pick a TV for a room I could make completely dark, I would choose the LG, no question.
So when a retailer asks where are you going to place a TV and how far away you are going to view it, PAY ATTENTION.

I bought the 55" other day in preparation for the PS5, and am currently using it with my PS4 Pro. WOW!! what an amazing picture, it's flawless. Best picture ever

I just ordered a 65" CX. The C9 was about $300 less, but about half my usage is going to be for games, including the new consoles and a lot of PC gaming, and the new gaming features of the CX made it the better choice. I'm fine with spending a little extra on future proofing. It's like the size thing - it's better to get what you want now so you don't end up spending more later.

So you don’t discuss burn in or frame rate in this video. 2 specs of the TV that are probably THE most important.

I bought a brand new C9 77” recently and spent $1000 less than I would have if I’d bought the CX. After watching this review, I definitely made the right choice. There is nothing that the CX offers that makes it worth paying $1000 more. Just get a C9.

I have had this tv for about a month and half and I have loved it over my old lg led tv that was side lite. The black levels with bright Scenes in the middle like in Star Wars look amazing

So glad I didnt wait on the CX and bought a C9 2 months ago. The C9 to CX is essentially a wash and I got my C9 for a $1100 less than what the current CX is selling for

Fired up the 65” CX and wow I’m blown away me n the wifey said both at the same time “doesn’t it feel we are actually there in person while a movie 🍿 is playing” lol it’s a no brainer over the Samsung and owned the SUHD Samsung for probably 7 years now.

I recently bought the 65cx and applied the recommended best settings. They definitely look good when it comes to HDR/4k content, however (and is it only just me).. I find with SDR content, watching TV shows/news etc, having the Sharpness setting at 0 really makes text / writing/ ppls faces look slightly blurry. Anyone else notice a better SDR picture when actually bumping up the Sharpness a little ?? I mean even having the Sharpness at the same level at the standard picture mode (of 25) makes SDR content sooo much clearer/better to watch
