While I’m not a fan of resellers, he’s right people definitely are! My dad used to buy me a new skunk plush on eBay every surgery or MRI I got I have 30-50 of them now. and most are from eBay since their not a popular animal like they were back in the day 😅

I love plush. My best plush flip so far was a Clyde Frog from Southpark that I picked up for $1. Sold for $100 in less than a day

I would highly discourage people from trying this. You'll end up with a house full of plush you can't get rid of.

We have a local store here that raids our second hand shops. I mean carts full of all name brand stuff, and sells it at her second hand shop for almost full price. She has basically capitalized on a parent’s inability to tell their kids no or wanting to get them the trending names. She has memorized the sales, hours they put out stuff, everything. I used to be able to Christmas shop for the kids being broke and all and find some things may have been on their list but not now. Too many people like this now.

Some parents will desperately pay for plushes that their children use as a lovie (security toy) as a replacement or a back-up to have just in case.

I always focus on the squishmallows, I've thrifted a bunch of them just for myself, only of they're in good condition for a good price though, but I'll pay attention for jellycats now

I always look the stuffed animals bins at the thrift stores. I got a Beanie Boo bat from one and later I gave it to my young niece to play with and she fell in love with it and I let her take it home.
