I don’t know if you still see these comments but I cannot explain how helpful this is. My school didn’t teach me this, my teacher didn’t even know about this. Thank you so much from Finland 🇫🇮

It's awesome how wonderfully easy someone with such dominion of a language can make us see something. Thank you, greatly

Wow, this is kinda shocking as well as really helpful as always because I've been pronouncing those ending voiced consonants clearly on purpose to try to make my English sound correctly ever since I started studying English. Your videos always show me something really valuable. Thanks, Rachel!!!

I'm American, yet grew up with a strange diction issue. That coupled with my deeper than average voice makes people ask me where I am from . I emphasize certain phrasing of words, and speak in a sing song manner. Just briefly going over your videos has reinforced the building blocks of language for me again.So your videos really help Rachel for the American, to sound even more...American! People no longer ask me where I am from, instead they tell me that I have a nice speaking voice. Thank you Rachel ( ;

Oh my God this video is gold!! I was having a hard time pronouncing the S as a Z when it was at the end of a word or linked to a consonant.
It just felt forced and unnatural and I couldn't get used to it, and also when listening to other people sometimes it just sounded like a regular S, Now I know why!
it's a subtle detail that many people and many teachers don't pay attention to.

Thanks very much for this video. I thought there was something wrong with my ears because I couldn´t hear the voiced sounds at the end of the words. It was really helpful!

This video blew my mind. Thank you so much. I know how to pronoun the -s endings but I'm always confused between /s/ and /z/. I can distinguish them by the vocal cords, but when people speak in real life, the sounds are quite similar. You solved my problem.

Wow these flower'z' I saw in many books, and I really tried hard to speak a 'z' sound but I always thought it was too weird... Thanks a lot for taking this annoying thought off my mind, G-d bless your life!

Thank you, this video helped me a lot when pronouncing the Icelandic þ and ð sounds. The differences are very subtle but still identifiable.
