Here's a lesson on the guitar parts of George & John's for "Rain." Including how they played in the key of "A" before slowing the tape down to "G."

They recorded this, Paperback Writer, and the 14 songs of Revolver, including Tomorrow Never Knows, Yellow Submarine, Eleanor Rigby, Taxman, etc, in a couple of months. Then they had the rest of the year to tour the world, write and record Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, When I'm Sixty-Four, and most likely write a good part of Sgt. Pepper....All in 1966. I mean, by today's standards, what they achieved is a miracle.

I'm sure you hear this frequently, but your Beatles guitar tutorials are FABulous, the best by far. A million thanks for putting your heart and soul into the mission.

One of my favorite Beatles' songs and also one of their most underrated compositions.

The guitar instruction alone is fantastic. But the background stories are fascinating. Thank you

Mike Pachelli deserves a Grammy for his incisive videos! His detailed, historical stories are informative and his guitar lessons are superb! I recall that music books containing Beatles' songs always had the tunes in improper keys.( I'm 70.) Mike's showing the real deal!

This has got to be my favorite lesson of yours. Rain has been regarded as one of the greatest B sides of all time. Ringo plays great on this record, and Paul's bass is trippy, almost evoking the sound of falling rain.

As an Northern Englishman (just like all of the Beatles) the weather is a key part of life!

I get this song and all the lyrics and the drums are amazing work.

And imagine what Revolver would be like with Paperback Writer and Rain on.🤯

John's rhythm is so darn good! The backbone of the Beatle's nuanced approach that stands on top.

Mike...you're the 6th Beatle! What a technician and what a discerning ear...wow. Your videos are masterpieces in their own!

An older musical pal of mine told me that when this song came out in the spring/summer of 1966 "it floored everyone, " meaning all the radio-listening kids in his Queens NY high school. No one had ever heard anything like it before in pop music, not even remotely. (Little did they know what was just around the corner.)

This was your greatest beatles contribution, nobody would of been able to figure out how to do this but someone of your abilities and passion. Now Rain is playable.

I produced an entertainment news show for several years and got to meet quite a number of musical artists. I never got to meet Mike Pachelli, who is, of course, a recording artist in his own right, and I certainly wish I had. Is there a more talented, affable and generous guy anywhere? Would have loved to meet him....

Hi Mike, saw the Beatles live in the 60's, they were singing thru their amps, what an innovative group ! Your cover is the best I have ever heard, thanx for all the hard work to keep the Beatles sound alive. Rain is one of my personal favorites.

Outstanding cover: An especially challenging one to do given all the technical intricacies underlying its production -- as discussed in another great lesson. Thanks! for it.
