How To Fix FileZilla Connection Error - Failed with EAI

Recently FileZilla has been prompting many of its users with the below connection error messages when trying to connect to their FTP server.

1. EAI_NODATA – No address Associated with nodename

2. EAI_NONAME - Either nodename nor servname provided, or not known

Both messages end with a:
Error: Could not connect to server

How To Fix FileZilla Connection Error:
You basically need to use the IP Address of the Web Host instead of the Hostname.

In my case, I was using the IP of the website that I was trying to connect, but it's different from the server. Using the IP of the website for me does not work. After seeing this video, I realized that maybe I could try to use the IP of our WHM/cPanel and it works. This video saved me haha. Thanks imaw(Peter)

I never had to use a password for my filezilla and i just updated it a friend of minds put it on my computer so i never even seen a host name or password option it just always connected so i have no idea what to do because i do not know what site filezilla was downloaded from so i have no host or password
