There a lot questions of
"Is Kirara E hold took to the enemies three times makes the shield stronger?"(passive talent 1).
A1: Yes! The shield is stronger more 60% with fully 3 stacks by single E hold. But if you do her shield skill two times already, her shield is stacking and reach to the limit. In this case, 3 stacks from E hold can't makes the shield stronger.

"Is the shield makes by E hold stronger than E press?"
A2: No. It's same.

Layla would be the best f2p shield for most teams, Kirara for dendro teams, Thoma can work with burgeon teams, and Zhongli is still the best shielder

Layla is still my favorite 4 star shielder. She made me feel safe every time. And with sacrificial sword, I can use her shield time and time again.

Baizhu is more of a Healer+Interruption Resist. Not totally a Shielder.

The only thing stopping Noelle from being an actual shielder is her 50% uptime. Even without it she’s already competitive unit with some 5*.

Baizhu's shield is meant to break by itself even if the character is not being attacked because when it breaks it heals and apply dendro and I don't recall but I think it does something else (that's why it breaks/only stand 1 hit). But at the end even tho it only works a for a short period of time his healing is the best so no worries xD

Outside of Zhongli, Layla seems like the best shielder to me. She only requires one use of her skill, and she has 100% uptime on her shield as long as your rotations are 12 seconds are less (which most teams are). She's definitely not the strongest shield, because other chararcters have stacking mechanics, but her ease of use is only rivaled by Zhongli. On top of that, Cryo doesn't generally hurt most reaction chains so her element isn't a big barrier. Kiara gains a lot more value if there are always at least 3 enemies because she can gain her stacks quicker (same with Xinyan, but.. who is that?), but she loses it outside of those senarios. Yanfei and Thoma are Good shielders but much more niche because pyro can hurt a lot of rotations outside of Burgeon.

Why noelle and zhongli are stronger is because those are geo shields that resist more the physical damage, the rest of shields only has bonus for one specific element (the one the shield is made), geo shields have a slight absorption against all elements

Some things to note:
It appears beidou still provides dmg reduction even after her shield pops since unshieled hits do 1016 instead 1562 (1563 for the kiara test).
All of the examples appear to have rounding since the shield pops and some overflow damage is taken if the overflow dmg is less than half it is counted as having blocked an extra hit with the sole exception being Nooelle who had an overflow of 887 and was still counted as blocking 13 hits instead of 12 when she blocked less than half of the 13th hit (each hit being 1562).

In all honesty beidou sheild is awesome . I use her with alhaitham in aggravate along with kuki and nahida . Not only she goves a sheild but also applies electro to multiple enemies . She is really underrated

I love Thoma’s shield, the fact that it stacks the way it does means that even if you break the shitty 5 hit shield there’s another shield as soon as you do a normal attack again. Pretty useful for normal attackers like youmiya or ayato or for characters who really need the resistance to interruption
