In some games FPS is similar but frametime is way worse.
Besides, when you play longer session games, VRAM can feel up faster and give stutters.

Thank you for the tests. It seems that the newer 6GB is close to the 4GB one but much better in VRAM limited scenarios. Honestly I don't like the bandwidth cut that much, but if the 6GB version were the original one, many people would have been much happier.

Even a 2023 refresh has less vRAM than the desktop 3050 🤦‍♂Nvidia's greed is astonishing.

I think its too late no one gonna prefer that 3050 refresh over 4050 with better bandiwith and FG these days..

With a higher TGP, the 6GB 3050 runs at a higher frequency than the 4GB 3050Ti. If they were at the same TGP, I think the 3050 6GB would have lost more because of the narrower bus (except in Vram limit situations).

Why not just use 8GB ram like 3050 destop? Because they want us to buy new laptop in 2 years. ^-^'

Need more RAM? Pay more for 3070 or 4060.

That's what an almost monopoly does. First, they intentionally gave us a nerfed 3050/ti from the beginning with only 4gb vram. Next, when they do decide to upgrade the vram, they cut down thw memory bus 🤦
