Just an update to this: Kobe did drop an EP titled “Visions LP” in like 2000. Kobe ALSO did a feature on the remix of Say My Name by Destiny’s Child, including also the one featured in this video. (Hold Me by Brian McKnight)

Overall though, as an artist? Kobe actually was pretty solid. I go back to that remix of Say My Name a lot and it’s the only version of that song I play now.

First Kobe did NOT almost become a rapper. They thought he’s fame as a basketball player would translate into albums sales. We saw Allen Iverson, Dame and Chris Webber come out with albums. Also let’s not act like Shaq’s rap career was the second coming of Will Smith.

Kobe had a Jay-Z flow kinda, not a good thing btw.

Shaw was horrible and Kobe was worse. That's why they played basketball. Do some research and you'll even find people telling both of them to stick to balling. Same with Michael Jordan and acting.
