They say it couldn't be done. (Well, maybe with a Hurricane Sandy headwind.) Ha! Well today I did it twice and got one on video. I was flying '79B' (the floater) and there was a south-west breeze (5-10kts). The trick to ALL pin-point landings is a stable approach, unwavering airspeed control and knowing just when to chop the throttle so that when you round-out and flare, she truly IS 'done' flying.

your suggestion is so true. Many Pilots come in on Final with too much air speed and have a tendency to float. Over the fence I am at Short field speed or even a few knots less. And then, I am able to pretty much cut the power and land right where I want.
