This facade is compensatory. They hate themselves. False self is presented to the world it's a cognitive distortion and very difficult to help treat as they usually don't go to therapy and are very paranoid. Sometimes mood stabilizers like tegretal can reduce the number of rage attacks they have but often other medications need to be added. It's not a cure.

The following prayer is not in the Bible, as far as I know, but is based on John 16:13. This prayer works well for condemning thoughts in your head that are actually demonic revelations. Pray to God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for a Holy Spirit block in your head to stop the devil or any of his evil spirits from talking to you that you only want to talk with and obey the Holy Spirit. This prayer cleaned out my head really well about 35 years ago.

You talk about mirroring. I did not realize my husband did that until 9 years being married. I think I’m a little slow. In the beginning of our relationship, he did and liked everything I liked so I thought we had all these different things in common, but the day he changed and he did a 180 on me is stem I realized he was never that person that had things in common with me. This new person he is today abc has been for 5 years now is the opposite of how he was for the first 5 years. He is now the total opposite of everything I thought he was and I don’t even like this guy. He’s horrible to me, very disrespectful, sour attitude, has no sense of humor, a hollow inside that never smiles or laughs, it’s so sad to see him today vs. who he was when we got married. I realize now he was mirroring me to like everything i like, but that’s not who he is. I was confused for many years trying to figure out why he was just so odd and different from other people. Half human is for sure the word. I tell him constantly you either cave from alien space or the depths of hell. He acts like he hates my guts but he used to love me, or do I thought. I know now the way I’m treated, he never did and Won’t ever. I thought he would change ba k yo the guy I married but not yet. We fill doin be married 13 years sad he acts as if though he don’t know me or anything s out me, like he never really was paying attention to my personal likes and the kind of person I am. It’s like we been married alm these years, but he never really cared about my needs and wants. He could not tell you anything about me today if you ask him. It makes me feel very unloved, alone and angry which are feelings I never had to deal with before in my life. I feel I am being punished by God gir going something horrible. How much longer do I need to pay gif this disobedience. This covert narcissist is trying to destroy me and a lot of me is gone already because of him . I wish I had known a tad bit -3 years ago that ink is now. Look how much if my life has been wasted on fine one who never cared about me. That’s too many years to waste of your life not o cannot seen to get rid of him. 😢😢
