This is the best advice out there and I'm not saying that because I love the channel. The focus is getting a job. PHP isn't going anywhere, and react is picking up steam big time out there. focus on those two once you get the basics down, and you will get looked at and hired. This is how I've been able to get interviews.

Really solid video. A lot of upcoming developers groan when they hear the words "PHP" or "MySQL" because they're seen as crusty technologies or something. I was one of them. But reality is, if you're not in NYC or the Bay Area (or a startup in a hipster city), you aren't using Mongo. MOST companies have older tech stacks.

Hey Joe, love your stuff! Speaking of PHP though, I have a one to pick with you about your PHP Udemy course. The introduction video didn’t tell me anything about what I would learn in the course, it just went on and on about why I should learn PHP.

That’s all great advice, but here’s the thing: anyone who watches that has already clicked on your PHP course, they ALREADY want to learn PHP!

So if the intro can tell me a little about why I should buy YOUR PHP course, I’ll buy it. :)

Fantastic advice as usual, Joe. You're making a big impact/difference in our lives. Looking forward to the upcoming courses on Teachable.

Hey man, I will go to a technical school and I think they teach : XHTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, WORDPRESS, CMS and SEO, do you think this course is good ? ( Btw, I have zero knowledge about coding ).

I would like to work as freelancer using freelance websites. For that I want to learn web development. I'm doing freecodecamp Frond End Sertification path (about 70 hours completed and over 400 hours left, now doing basic JS). I don't like that learning way and every day I doubt if I l don't waste my time sticking to freecodecamp? Althought JS and its frameworks are loved by programers, as a novice I shouldn't specialize in them?According you,  should I stick to learning PHP laravel + MySQL? Or, maybe,  Wordpress + design?

A Joe.... I learned HTML and CSS... Now working on JavaScript... Working with the DOM... InnerHTML and getElementByTagName and a few other methods that go with that. All that is front end right... So next we need PHP? Looked into it a little. Not sure what all these names mean.... Its confusing nut I guess they are similar and you are saying pick one that is used in your area based on research of jobs.... But in general.. PHP is needed like JavaScript and I guess node JS is a framework or library of JavaScript to make it easier to write?
