Regardless, twitter is so much more entertaining now than it ever was. Personally i was tired of advertisers controlling what im allowed to say. At least i can point to one guy and say "i was banned for saying something they diddnt like" is much more palatable to me.

elon is an idiot in my opinion and a lot of his changes were unnecessary and dumb, but his way of challenging the mainstream online culture and trying to be something different where freedom of speech is a priority is a good thing in my eyes.

i dont think he ever expected to make a profit off twitter, he just doesnt want it to be a personal money sink.

i also find it very funny when these companies change their logo to rainbow flags during pride month for all their western accounts, but in their dedicated arabic, russian, african etc. they don't do that

Seems a little contradictory to me. If ads run the internet then clearly Twitter was influenced by the relevant companies running those ad campaigns to censor information they didn’t want being on the platform or to promote content they did want to be viewed.
